On Sunday, August 8 2010 after the Divine Liturgy, St. Vartan Church Annual Picnic took place at John Lawson Park in West Vancouver at 12:00 noon.
At the beginning everyone, by emails or phone, were concerned because of the weather, which indeed was cloudy and seemed going to rain.
We were prepared with few large tents provided by Shahin and set by some Parish Council members who were there ahead of time.
But the sky gradually cleared and the attendee, almost 180 people enjoyed God-given beautiful and warm afternoon with friendly gathering. We also had guests from Montreal, Dubai, Toronto and USA visiting their relative and friends in BC.
The food was delicious barbecued fish prepared by Chef Onnik and Vice chef Hagop. There was also barbecued hot dogs, potato salad, water melon, beverages drinks and of course Armenian coffee, prepared and offered by Hasmig Isbeceryan.
We had the opportunity to taste Vasgen Degirmentas birth day chocolate cake. All the best wishes to Vasgen.
The Parish Council members, Hagop, Onnik, Sergey, Arax, Bedros, Nania, Brigitte, Daniel organized the whole picnic event and with their helpers, Hasso, Ayda, Annig, Araxie prepared and offered the food, beverage and water melon.
The picnic lasted until 7:00 pm.
A big applause and thanks to PC, helpers and beloved attendee.
