St. Nerses Shnorhali Sunday School’s Annual Christmas Bake Sale

On December 5th, 2021, St. Nerses Shnorhali Sunday School had yet another successful Christmas Bake Sale. We would like to take this opportunity and  extend our gratitude and appreciation to all Sunday School’s parents and Ladies Guild members for their delicious homemade baked goods and as well as our community for their generous support.

Կիրակի, Դեկտեմբեր 05, 2021ի Պրիթիշ Գոլոմպիոյ, Սուրբ Վարդան Հայց. Առաք. և Ուղղ. Եկեղեցւոյ Սուրբ Պատարագէն ետք, Սեդրակ Գալփակեան Սրահին մէջ, Սուրբ Նէրսես Շնորհալի Կիրակնօրեայ դպրոցի տեսչուհի՝ տիկ. Յասմիկ Յովհաննէսեանի կազմակերպութեամբ, ուսուցչաց կազմի մասնակցութեամբ տեղի ունեցաւ Խմորեղէնի վաճառքի յաջողակ ձեռնարկը։

Յանուն եկեղեցւոյս վարչութեանց և հաւատացեալներու շնորհակալութիւն կը յայտնենք բոլորին, յատկապէս, տեսչուհուն, յանձինս տիկ. Յասմիկ Յովհաննեսեանին և Ծխական Խորհուրդի գանձապահ՝ Դիանա Գալփակեանին, ինչպէս նաև վարչութեան անդամուհի՝ Ալւինա Գրիգորեանին, նաև հետևեալ հաւատացեալ անձանց՝ Աննա Քոչինեանին, Արեգա Գրիգորեանին, Արման Մինասեանին, Արուսեակ Թամազեանին, Նարինե Սնքչեանին, Տաթև Արոեանին, Շողեր Զոհրապեանի, ինչպէս նաև տիկիններ՝ Աստղիկ Միրզաեանին, Այտա Գարագաշին, Անահիտ Իսմայէլեանին և Նարինե Սուքիասեանին, իրենց անսակարկ ներդրումներու համար որ միշտ նուիրաբերած են եկեղեցւոյս ձեռնարկած միջոցառումներուն յաջիղութեանց համար։

St. Nerses Shnorhali Sunday School’s Annual Pumpkin Patch

On October 24th, 2021, St. Nerses Shnorhali Sunday School’s students accompanied by their parents and teachers went for their annual pumpkin patch field trip in the Richmond Country Farm. They had lots of fun and collected lots of pumpkin to make Jack O Lanterns and of course the traditional Armenian “Ghapama”.

    It has become a tradition to visit Richmond Country  Farm Market’s Pumpkin Patch at the end of each October. Our students get a ride on a hay wagon and enjoy costumed entertainers, sing their favorite pumpkin picking songs and get to pick their own pumpkins. We have lunch together with our teachers and get a BC grown Spartan apple as a healthy snack at the end to conclude our field trip.With the pumpkins, we make our  traditional Armenian “Ghapama” which we serve at our October Friday Social at Ararat Armenian Community Centre’s Setrak Kalpakian Hall. On Friday Social, our students get to do some fall arts and crafts , decorate cookies and showcase their costumes and of course, get sweet treats to take home.Well, enough said, “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
