On Sunday October 2nd the St.Vartan Armenian Church Sunday School & Parish Council representatives held a meeting for parents and members of the community. We had the pleasure to meet our new Principal Mrs. Tania Martirossian and our new dynamic teacher Mrs. Emma Sargsyan. There were 5 families present and a very productive meeting took place. We established a Parents Association of volunteers consisting of Mrs. Taline Giragossian, Mrs. Anoushig Maranjian, Mrs. Yeva Mkrtchyan & Mrs. Seda Sakoyan who were all happy to be involved in supporting the programs set out by Mrs. Sargsyan. It was decided at the meeting that the Sunday school will operate on Sunday afternoons from 12:20 pm –1:20 pm, the children will learn about our Christian faith, our language, Armenian songs & poems. It was agreed upon that a fee of $100/ per family be collected for the year, this will help cover the incurring costs of text books, papers, pencils, computer programs & special field trips. This year will be very exciting, our Principal and teacher are very experienced, enthusiastic & talented we thank them both sincerely for their commitment to the growth of our church and the flourishing of our community & family. A wonderful addition to our meeting was the introduction of Mr. Vahram Sargsyan who spoke about his interest in creating a new choir at our church for singers ages 16+, this will be a wonderful new program, stay tuned for more details. It is fantastic to to see the community gathered together enthusiastically to make our church thrive.
