On Thursday May 17th the Ladies guild set out for their annual day trip to Whistler BC in remembrance of Ascension day. 48 Ladies gathered on board a large and comfortable bus and set out to Whistler, singing, dancing and listening to funny jokes, as a special treat Mrs. Vartuhi Moradogli came dressed in an authentic Armenian Costume which we all admired. The trip was beautifully planed by Ayda Karakas, on behalf of the Ladies guild executive. The ladies enjoyed strolling the alleys of Whistler Village together then lunched at a local restaurant. Before heading home some lottery prizes were won by 3 lucky ladies. On the bus ride home Mrs. Linda Gumuchian read the story of Christ’s Ascension from the Bible to us and we also sang lovely Armenian folk songs together. We look forward to sharing another exciting adventure next year.
