On Saturday, January 05 2013 at 5:30 pm. St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Church Pastor accompanied by deacons, choir members lead by Arman Hovsepyan and faithful celebrated the Christmas Eve Divine Liturgy.
Archpriest, Rev. Keghart delivered to the faithful a message titled “Magi, Herod the king, the chief priests, scribes and the Shepherds characters with nowadays people and their understandings of Christmas”.
On Sunday, January 06 at 11:00 am Archpriest, Rev. Keghart Garabedian celebrated the Epiphany Divine Liturgy and the Blessing of the Water ceremony, which symbolizes the Baptism and the Revelation of Christ’s Divinity, accompanied by acolytes, deacons, choir members lead by Arman Hovsepyan. The godfather of this year was Mr. Serjue Stamboliants a member in the Church choir.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy Rev. Keghart presented His Holiness Karekin II the Catholicos and Supreme Patriarch of All Armenian Christmas message, and in English language he delivered a message from Titus 2.11-15 explaining Christ Divinity’s revelation and how Christian need to live their life, and how his disciple Titus must present the teaching of the Christian faith.
After the Church Service, the faithful were served delicious food at Setrak Kalpakian Hall.
For this occasion there were guests from Chinese Christian Fellowship Church who were invited to be present the Christmas celebration and the feast.
During the luncheon Santa Clause came and distributed gifts to the kids.
