On October 19th, 2013 Ararat Armenian Community Center hosted a dinner dance fundraiser gala with Marten Yorgantz. Parish Counsil Member of St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Church, Isabel Kalpakian organized the event. The proceeds from the event were shared with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of British Columbia.
The evening consisted of great speakers, entertainers and raffles. We were honored to have two key speakers, Mr. Mark Geragos,Esq., and Mr. Serop “Marco” Chorbajian. Incredible entertainment were provided by Sharon Bryson, Karla Saxs, and of course Marten Yorgantz.
We also wish to give special thanks to the amazing support from our sponsors, as well as to the generous donations from many great companies towards the raffles. Special thanks to Bini and her friend for the excellent pictures, Sandra for the supreme flower arrangements and to Prestilux for their generous contribution. Last but not least we wish to thank all of those who donated and supported this memorable event.
On November 22nd, 2013 we were pleased to give the Heart and Stroke Foundation a check for $3,100.00.
We were also delighted to have Marten Yorgantz come the following day to our Sunday school and sing with our children.
