“HIGH TEA “ FUNDRAISER FOR CFFA

This year marks our St Nerses Shnorhali Sunday School’s 5th Children’s Fund for Armenia sponsorship year.

On January 19th, 2019
our Sunday school  with Diana Kalpakian’s leadership organized a fundraising “High Tea” for Children’s Fund for Armenia.  With the generous support of our community and an anonymous kindhearted lady who volunteered to round up our raised funds, we were able to sponsor ten CFFA families. The Cheque for the amount of $5,050 was presented to His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese on February 10th, 2019.

It was a very successful event and without the help and support of our volunteers this event would not have been possible. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the piano performance by Avag Garabedian was the perfect addition to the elegant event. Silent auction, market place, raffle, OCCO robot for our photo booth and of course delectable three course high tea menu were some of the highlights of our afternoon tea.

A certificate of appreciation and a pin was presented to Mrs. Linda Gumuchian for the occasion of St Vartan Armenian Church of BC’s 50th Anniversary by Rev. Fr. Keghart Garabedian and Parish Council.
