On Sunday, July 19, 2015, St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Church
British Columbia’s “Sourp Nersess Shnorhali” Sunday School celebrated its Year-End event. For this occasion, the Church Ladies served delicious lunch BBQ at Setrak Kalpakian Hall. After the lunch, Sunday School students presented a nice performance of Poems, Music and Art Gallery.
After the presentation, as a symbol of Junior Generation and Youth Generation, some High School and University graduates of 2014-2015 were recognized for their achievements.
Pastor, Rev. Keghart Garabedian addressed the graduates and congratulated them for their hard work and achievements and reminded them and emphasized, that in addition to the secular education they got, it is important to seek and learn and practice their Christian Spiritual life. To know and be aware, especially when some aspects of the temporal education system teachings are non-compliant with Christian faith and the teaching of the moral and ethical Biblical Standards. The benefit of knowing Christian teaching is to be able to avoid confusion that exists in today’s worldly philosophical deception. At the end Rev Keghart congratulated the parents and the community members and blessed them.
In conclusion, the Principal of the “Nersess Shnorhali” Sunday School, Mrs. Hasmik Hovhannessyan and the Pastor presented souvenir gifts to the teachers of Sunday School and the graduates.
