On Sunday March 25th the St. Vartan Armenian Church ACYOC organized a “ Soup for Youth” Lenten event. They were able to raise $365 dollars for Covenant House in Vancouver, a charity that helps homeless youth by providing them with hope, shelter, clothing, food and opportunities. Our parishioners were treated to a delicious bowl of Hot Lentil Soup. The ACYOC is especially grateful to Mr. Hagop Attarmigir who donated his time and talents to prepare and serve the soup as well as donating all the wholesome and delicious ingredients. They also thank Mr. Sergey Maranjian who donated delicious Za’atar bread which beautifully complimented the Lenten theme and very much appreciate the support the Ladies Guild members offered in the kitchen on Sunday. It was nice to see the church members working together for a community project.
